Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
Once we get the current bugs and features finished, should get the module ported to Drupal 7. This will also reviewing the tasks to account for changes in Drupal 7 and which modules are actually available. Leaving this as a postponed status for now.

anavarreIs there anything we can do to help SEO Checklist be ported to Drupal 7 ?
Ben Finklea CreditAttribution: Ben Finklea commentedSince the Checklist is a list of other modules, until those modules are released for D7, it doesn't do any good to have a D7 version. However, look for it within a few weeks of D7 being released so...probably near the end of January. --Ben

LoMo CreditAttribution: LoMo commentedI've recently contributed a module which was written to fill SEO-requirements for a site we (Cocomore) were working on and might be worthy of inclusion in the SEO Checklist (though not for all use cases, it's certainly relevant to SEO). The Internal Links module is a simple set of input filters which act on links to other nodes on a Drupal site:
So it not only streamlines editorial workflow, but also assists with SEO of a site and enhances usability/accessibility at the same time (links with useful titles are generally more clear). It's especially useful for sites with a fair amount of cross-linking between articles and caching is advised since obviously it entails additional queries for each page load if the content is not cached.
Of course I'm keeping up on which modules have already been released (for D7), which have been "rolled into" other projects, and which new projects might also have good SEO application, so I'd be happy to help with the initial D7 port of this module. Even if some of the projects that it links to are not yet fully ready, the checklist could be released with notes about which projects aren't yet ready (but should be soon).

mgiffordSo has anyone grabbed the latest version from Git http://drupal.org/node/187737/git-instructions
And run it through http://drupal.org/project/coder
to see the obvious things that need to be changed with an upgrade?
it will help a lot in getting us a stable release sooner if someone would contribute a patch with just that.

Ben Finklea CreditAttribution: Ben Finklea commentedStill waiting on others to update their modules. The SEO Checklist has limited use when you've got dev and alpha modules for key functionality. I did a review about 3 weeks ago and there are still too many. Will check again in a week or so and make the call.
Is there any added functionality that you would like to see in the module? I'm considering adding a copy/pasteable Drush code to each module list. It wouldn't execute itself but you could copy and paste that into your Drush installation.
Anything else? Let's make a wishlist.

brucewhealtonjr CreditAttribution: brucewhealtonjr commentedThis is definitely needed for drupal 7. Even if some certain modules that were important for drupal 6 are not available for drupal 7. It sometimes occurs with drupal 7 that some modules we had used on d6 sites are not needed for d7 because they are moved into core or for whatever reason they just aren't needed. Drupal is a great tool for web development and specifically for seo. Drupal has only gotten better with drupal 7 so it is or would be a shame if we could not optimize a d7 site as well as we did for our d6 sites.

Ben Finklea CreditAttribution: Ben Finklea commentedIf you're waiting on the D7 version of the Drupal SEO Checklist module to be released, you might want to watch the Acquia webinar on 5/10/2011 at

There just might be an interesting announcement.

Ben Finklea CreditAttribution: Ben Finklea commentedOK, it's released. Go easy on me. There are lots of bugs, especially in the links. I'm working on fixing them all. (D7 changed the admin structure so they all have to be fixed. Easy but tedious.) Cheers! :)
mgiffordThanks for adding the dev release! It's a necessary start and rarely trivial.

pcsupport CreditAttribution: pcsupport commentedHoorah!
Maybe I'm being utterly blind here but module has been installed but I cannot see the module listed under configuration page.
Tebb CreditAttribution: Tebb commentedOh, that's odd. I can probably see what pcsupport is saying.
SEO Checklist is directly under configuration in my dropdown admin menu bar, but if I click that configuration option, the configuration page does not have an SEO Checklist option.
Dave ReidFollow-up patch to move the module to admin/config/system/seochecklist until a better location can be determined. This is likely the best place since it does not make sense to make our own 'category' under admin/config for one admin page. Fixed vertical tabs usage for Drupal 7 too.
Anonymous (not verified) CreditAttribution: Anonymous commentedIt should go under admin/config/search and meta data
