Well here is my problem, not really a problem I need to migrate my website that I developed into a drupal site. the site is http://housing.uah.edu Now the questions that I would like to know is that this is a full feature website. It includes basicly an intranet system for the staff to be able to manage the residents on campus and assign them to rooms, and maintenance also. I would like to know currently when a Student applies for housing we enter all there information into the system and it then creates an account for the user, is that possible with drupal? Also creating custom modules for a guest check-in system is this possible. And my last concern is with security, I need to be able to have different levels of access with "staff" being able to manage the residents.... Is this possible...
I would love to move to drupal, it is taking alot of time to custom code all the features that are already in drupal....
Thanks for the HELP!

From what you describe it sounds possible though you will probably need some custom modules to do everthing you want.

the problem a lot of people on your situation run into is that they need to integrate with other system and do it thru ldap.

you can use taxonomy access control for the permissions
