This one is weird. The 'content-type' HTTP header specifies a character set of UTF-8, which is different to the value given in the meta tags. There are two meta tags.

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />

There is also an image with an empty alt attribute.

Thanks for letting me know about these issues

I've removed the unnecessary meta tag

I wouldn't worry about the validation issues. Once you start adding CSS3 and browser specific rules to the style sheet it freaks the W3C validator out and starts doing odd things. There's currently an ongoing discussion about whether this should be addressed by the W3C

I'll leave the alt tag blank for the image. The last time I checked the WCAG guidelines recommended leaving this empty if the image was for background purposes.
