Rackspace Cloud Files
CURRENTLY UNSUPPORTED
Rackspace has changed their API library and it will require a re-write of the code in Storage API module. You can help by contributing code to update to the latest Rackspace API if this capability is a requirement for you. If not you may consider more popular storage services such as Amazon S3, FTP, or Google Storage.
This service is for Rackspace Cloud Files.
Before Storage API can work with Rackspace you need to:
- Download and install the Rackspace API from GitHub - https://github.com/rackspace/php-opencloud/
- Unpack the attached php-cloudfiles ZIP or TAR.GZ file
- Rename the folder as 'php-cloudfiles'
- Place into `sites/all/libraries/'
- Create Rackspace Class
For more information review the File summaries at Administer › Reports › Status report.
A container is a Cloud Files container in a Cloud Files account. Cloud Files containers have a per-user container namespace.
A Cloud Files username and API key need to be entered.
The Cloud Files container must not already exist in the Cloud Files account.
Cloud Files cannot serve a file with the 'Content-Disposition: attachment' HTTP header. Therefore, a download link that would work perfectly in any other service may result in the browser rendering the file directly. This was confirmed by Rackspace engineers. :-(
