The bullet and number buttons basically do nothing now, and I'm trying to get a contextual menu to pop up for a table, but these all are not functional. Wondering if it's CKEditor 3.1 or this module?

gadzuk CreditAttribution: gadzuk commentedThe updated 3.1 pre-release today fixed this for me.

wwalc CreditAttribution: wwalc commented@CinemaSaville - which browser are you using? Does it work for you @ http://drupal.ckeditor.com/ ?
CinemaSaville CreditAttribution: CinemaSaville commentedNo. It's an issue with the pre-release of 3.1 I ended having to use WYSIWYG module and CKEditor 3.0.1, and it worked again. So we'll just have to wait until CKEditor 3.1 is stable, and fully functional. I love this module and editor. It's ridiculous that they're both not in Drupal core. It just makes working on your site SOOOOOOO much easier for people who aren't HTML wizards. This will greatly enhance the adoption of Drupal by the masses. OK, enough editorializing, I'm just stoked that this thing is almost completely production ready.

wwalc CreditAttribution: wwalc commented@CinemaSaville please let me know what exactly are you doing and in which browser do you see this bug.
CKEditor 3.1 is going to be released very soon and we need to be able to reproduce this bug in order to not have it in 3.1.

CinemaSaville CreditAttribution: CinemaSaville commentedI'm trying to use the contextual menu while editing a table. (i.e. alter the number of rows, or add a row or delete a column etc.) I'm using Safari 4.0.3, FF 3.5.3 and Chrome Beta on a Mac. Go to the http://drupal.ckeditor.com/ and insert a table in a comment. Now try to use a contextual menu by ctrl clicking (on a mac) or right clicking on a PC, and you'll see it doesn't work. This DOES work in CKEditor 3.0.1. So hopefully you guys can figure this out soon, because I would LOVE to go back to this module instead of WYSIWYG API, you're really doing a phenomenal job to create a very functional Web editor solution for drupal that is elegant, and highly functional.

mephir CreditAttribution: mephir commentedOn Firefox i haven't any problem with it, i can confirm problem on Safari and only on Safari, but also not always.

CinemaSaville CreditAttribution: CinemaSaville commentedOK, I just checked FF 3.5 in a Virtual PC environment, and you're right, it does work. However on a Mac running Snow Leopard it does not. So this is a bit of an issue, because this does work in CKEditor 3.0.1 on Snow Leopard. So that's all I can tell you. Hope you can figure it out though. Thanks again.

wwalc CreditAttribution: wwalc commentedThanks, reported as a bug here: http://dev.fckeditor.net/ticket/4826
It's awesome that you've found and reported this bug, otherwise it would be introduced in the next version.
One more thing, can you confirm that it happens always?
You can use the nightly build to check this: http://nightly.ckeditor.com/
I manage to confirm this, but as described in a bug report, it occurred randomly in Safari.

CinemaSaville CreditAttribution: CinemaSaville commentedI've never gotten it to work in any browser on the Mac OS (Snow Leopard). I'll check the nightly build. Glad I could be of help. God knows I love this editor, and really want it to work. For once, on Drupal, I'll feel like editing posts isn't such a production, so I'm sure there's others out there who'll appreciate it. If you look at all the other WYSIWG editors they don't even come close to the look and feel of CKEDitor. So thanks for doing this, the WYSIWG API module implementation of CKEditor isn't quite there in terms of if you want to change the buttons, they come out all jumbly if you choose too many, and it doesn't look right on Safari. And the look of these things are crucial for the typical end user. They want to see an elegant implementation. This, in my opinion, is where Drupal really needs to go. The technology for the most part is strong, but it's the interface that needs attention. Hopefully the D7UX project will really boost this into the stratosphere, and Drupal can leapfrog Joomla and Wordpress in terms of mass adoption. It's got to have the Apple mentality in terms of functionality AND look. So thanks again. I needed to rant on this topic, because it's soooo crucial. There's a reason the iPhone changed the world, and it's not just the underlying technology. It's the way we interact with it. Too often the technology gets in the way of our creativity, and that's why a clean, beautiful, easily customizable, and highly functional editor like CKEditor is so very needed by the entire community out there. Feel free to forward these remarks to the team over there.
