Hey guys, am new here. I want to conver my Wordpress over to Drupal because of a few reasons. One is that am looking for something more then just a blog and two my wordpress site is getting really slow because of resource hog. My site gets around 10 000 unique aday, am hosted on a dedicated server, this doent happen on my static html site even with 27k unique aday. My question is-is Drupal better then Wordpress in term of less resource hog?

short anwer: no - long answer: depends on...
A static html site uses much less resources than a blogsystem like wordpress or a CMS like drupal. You cannot expect any of those systems to be on as fast as static html.
Drupal will probably be even more of a recource hog than wordpress... because all the extra functions you get must come from somewhere. Drupal can still be of use to you because it can dynamically alter the resources used with the throttle module and drupal has a builtin caching mechanism which improves performance.
