Did I miss something? Mine don't appear in a horizontal bar across the top like your demo shows. I have to include the block, which shows them vertically.

And don't forget to add a menu in the primary link.

Apart from this, I think you better use the "MainMenu" region for menus only. I'll add two more regions there (Sidebar-left [Top] & Sidebar-left [Bottom]) in the next version.
