Our live site http://gwulo.com/ uses Airy Blue 1.0 & Zen 1.0. In the top grey bar you'll see the menu 'Home Subscribe Contact Today's HK', and the search box on the right.
After upgrading our test site to Airy Blue 1.6 and Zen 2.0-beta1, when I view it from IE8, I can see the grey bar and search box, but no menu. If I view the source I can see the html for the menu is there, but it's not visible in the browser. If I view it from FF 3.5.5, the menu is visible.

geerlingguy CreditAttribution: geerlingguy commentedSomething seems wrong with your installation - are you sure you're only running one version of Zen on your site? Check in sites/all/themes and sites/default/themes, as well as sites/gwulo.com/themes (if that directory exists) in order to see if there is more than one copy of Zen. The problem on your site seems to happen if an older version of Zen is running.
Please see the test site to see how it should look (this is a default drupal install with just Zen 2.x-beta1 and Airy Blue 1.6 installed):

There are a few obvious bugs, of course (especially with the buttons), but the general layout should be right.

I'm using Windows 7, FF 3.5.6, IE 8.

I added some primary links... and, of course, they're not visible in IE. This is a weird problem, to be sure.
The other weird issue is the main content sometimes floats behind the left/first column...

geerlingguy CreditAttribution: geerlingguy commentedFixed in 6.x-1.7. I refactored the page.tpl.php file, since the negative margins and floats were causing a lot of consternation in IE.

davidhk CreditAttribution: davidhk commentedI finally upgraded our patched 1.0 site to 1.7, and confirm it has fixed this problem, thanks!
As a bonus it's also fixed a bunch of layout problems users with IE6 or the AOL browser were experiencing, so all is well with the world.
