Is there a way to add some override code to style.css of the theme in order to change the look of the Search button? I tried changing the look in the config (on Google CSE) and was hoping it got pulled in but no cigar. Thanks-

Can you please tell me where exactly you tried to change the look?

The code that builds the search button is an exact duplicate of the code generated by Google, so you should be able to theme that button by properly identifying it in your CSS file.

I am looking for an answer to this as well.
The only options for the search button are Grey, Black, and White.. I would like to theme the search box to match my site..

The options are what Google decided to provide. Ask them to provide more options, and when they do, please re-open this to notify me to update the code.

Or you can use CSS to theme the search box.
