Wysiwyg and Advanced_blog module (http://drupal.org/project/advanced_blog) are in conflict with each other. Probably this is an Advanced blog issue but just keeping it cross-posted if anything fruitful comes out really fast.

Advanced Blog module is important as it can promote and make super useful Drupal as a multi-user blogging platfrm like wordpress mu. Wysiwyg is important because, well, it is important and blogging tools cannot be complete without this out of the box.

I followed these steps

Installed -
Drupal 6.15
Wysiwyg 6.x-2.0
FCKeditor 2.6.5
Advanced Blog 6.x-1.0-beta1

Toggle rich text to plain text ( provided via Wysiwyg)
Type something.
Hit save.
Nothing is saved. Not even in the database.

Disabled (but not uninstalled) Advance Blog. Everything works okay!
Why this will happen is just beyond my comprehension.

Advance thanks to anyone if he finds a cause and a remedy.

If it works after disabling that module, then that module is doing something strange, most probably to the form workflow.

Thanks for taking the time to report this issue.

However, marking as duplicate of #668426: Advance blog kills plain text mode of Wysiwyg module. In general, please try to avoid cross-posts.

I tested this using the same setup from #667848: FCKeditor is not properly detached in IE and now I did see the symptoms in IE 7. However, they were still there after disabling Advanced blog and the Blog modules. Therefore, I'm reopening the first issue as I have a lead on what's causing this.
