on admin/settings/admin I set adaptivetheme with "Use administration theme for content editing" unchecked
tinymce (using wysiwyg) renders correctly on firefox but not in IE
the screenshot reveals the differences
I am going to try to debug this and report back, if anyone has any idea what might be the cause of this please feel free to reply ...

Jeff Burnz CreditAttribution: Jeff Burnz commentedCant reproduce (see screeshot), could be IE's 31 stylesheet problem - try the unlimited CSS module http://drupal.org/project/unlimited_css (use for DEV only) use aggregation when you go live etc.

GiorgosKYes it is the 31 stylesheet problem
on performance I checked the "optimize css files" and it solved the issue

Jeff Burnz CreditAttribution: Jeff Burnz commentedYes, optimize will solve the problem also, the module is good for when you are developing your theme and cant have CSS aggregation turned on.
