Hi,

I'm the coordinator of the Portuguese of Portugal translation project.

One problem I've been having since I started is that the translation changes from sub-version to sub-version (ex: 4.7.0 to 4.7.1, to 4.7.2). Which means the translation effort is always outdated, and also, probably, wrong for people using the old version (ex: 4.7.0). I once in a while update the .po pt-pt files with the .pot files from translations/drupal-pot. Is this the correct procedure?

Another question, instead of having 4.5, 4.6, 4.7 versions of the language files, shouldn't we start having 4.7.0, 4.7.1, 4.7.2?

Finally, is it possible to inclue extra files in the translation release (ex: dictionary file or contributors file)?

Miguel

I think that the downloadable translations should always be for the latest available version in the branch. Ie the current translations for 4.7 should be for 4.7.2. 4.7.0 and 4.7.1 are both insecure under some circumstances and thus should not be used.
