relationship messages being sent in the wrong language

The relationship messages under Email Options in settings is not being sent to the language of the user.

user 1 language: French
user 2 language: English

user 1 sends user 2 a relationship request
user 2 accepts the relationship request
'approved' email gets sent in English to user 1 => I believe the email should be sent to user 1 in French?

I hope I was clear in my explanation above.
Is it possible to have to issue fixed? Thanks!
