I had problems with the stable version, this version did not send the newsletters, if somes nodes did not exist (because they were deleted), so I installed the development version, that fixes the problem in theory, the point is that now when I run the cron to send the newsletters pending, in the php log I see the following error.

That's correct. Simplenews mail tokens is no longer available. Simplenews now requires Token module. Apparently Simplenews Template module has not upgraded for this change.

I have installed and actived the module Token in the last stable version. I have also tried with this version 6.x-1.x-dev token and has not worked in either case.
