On Fly (jQuery) translation method does not work

On clicking the translation links in the block having set the Translation method to On Fly (jQuery) I do not get a response.

The translation does not take place, nor does the page reload

Are there any other settings elsewhere that need tuning to get this to work?

If not, this is issue should be made a bug report and investigated
