Hi,

another rather simplistic suggestion for improvement: Running all the PNG icons through OptiPNG could decrease the size of the files by about one third (according to what I just tested).
Considering how much service_links is being used, that could save tons of data transferred every day.

It has apparently been done at one time, because I currently can only decrease the size of the files by something like 0.5%.
