This is an odd one. This just started this morning, so may be related to a Firefox change (although I haven't upgraded recently). When I load my site the embedded flash nodes won't display at all.. not an error, just whitespace where the player should be. If I login everything displays perfectly from that point forward, even if I logout after. If I land at the site already logged in (with a cookie) I see the same problem. If I logout the nodes display again.

Everything continues to work unless you open the site in a new browser window/tab... then same behavior. No problem for IE as far as I can see. I have tried turning off all caching, and I'm only using Drupal main caching. My throttling is set to zero and the server load is low while testing.

Any help could be appreciated.

Tried with 6.x-3.x and I don't get this behavior and can view flashnodes. I can't revert back to 6.x-2.x easily as the variable structures are now very different.

The 6.x-3.x branch is actually pretty stable, and for embedding from Flashnode should be fine, so you might want to try using the newer version in case there's an issue in 6.x-2.x?

Is it possible for you try that, and post back if it does (or doesn't!) work?
