I was trying to upgrade from version 1 to version 2 and I got this error. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but still got it.

I was also getting this error, and discovered it was because the file that contains the missing function was missing. In fact, the entire contents of the /includes directory was missing, and was missing in our repo. The tarball has everything, so maybe it was a CVS problem? Check to see if the files are there.

Looking in CVS, it looks like 6.1 had an /includes directory, but it was empty, and there are a ton of files in that directory in 6.2.
