I've read a couple other posts where others are also having the same problem where after a user signs up, they are told "Unable to send e-mail. Please contact the site administrator if the problem persists." when the users are actually receiving the email! I'm hoping that by reporting this issue again, someone who has solved it will share the information on how to do so!

Thank you.

Sorry about that. But is there a way to fix this issue? It's pretty important for this message to be removed before this site goes live.

@Hanscraft

The issue may not be exclusive to the signup module since the message is actually generated by the drupal_mail() function. Can you confirm you do not receive the message in other circumstances when emailing users? For example, when creating user accounts?

If it is happening site-wide and instead *could* be a problem with your server's mail configuration. Keep in mind that configurations will vary depending on your environment.

If it appears to be a site-wide problem it can sometimes be mitigated by the SMTP module http://drupal.org/project/smtp

I've created a few test accounts and these users are receiving no "Unable to send email" error message and the email is received within moments. I am using Bluehost as my server and read on the Ubercart Issues that it could be a configuration error between what is the site email address vs. what is in Bluehost's Cpanel. I went in and made sure these email addresses matched then tried signing up again. The problem persisted.

I appreciate you taking the time to help with this error. I'm also looking into finding a way to just hide this single error message.

When I tried the non-dev version of Signup, the message doesn't show up. I'd really love to be able to use the new, prettier version of Signup. Any hope for that? This site goes live next week.

I am getting the same issue. Any idea what might be going on?

it looks like it is having problems utilizing the [author-mail] token in the "Send signups to" field. Can a token not go in there?
