Apparently, this module supercedes the Authorship module. I have 1200 nodes using authorship, how do I transfer the data to Submitted by? Has anyone got any SQL snippets?

NancyDruI had never even heard of that module. I can give a few suggestions maybe.
First, the primary pieces of data are the node creation date and the node userid; neither of those changes.
If you use the Authorship "Real Name" feature, you will need to install the RealName module as Submitted By does not provide this feature directly. RealName provides Tokens that Submitted By can use to get a "Real Name." And of course, that means you will need the Token module as well.
I don't know what kind of strings the Authorship module provides, but I can't imagine they would be that hard to convert to Submitted By.
I don't have a D5 site to even install Authorship on, so, without pictures to help, I can't do much more.

Matt BIf it helps, there's a D6 version of the Authorship module here: http://drupal.org/node/231227
Comment #3
NancyDruI'm trying it and it doesn't seem to do anything.

Matt BI'm sure you've set the permissions for the module, then go to the /admin/content/types edit one of your content types. Under workflow settings you need to "Enable authorship module functionality". Once you've done this you'll see the Authoring Information on the node edit/creation form.

NancyDruYes, I saw and enabled the functionality. And to test, I am running as user/1.
