Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
For cases where:
div.1 {background: url('img.png'); background: none;}
CSS embedded images will move background: url('img.png');
into a separate CSS file which will be incorrectly parsed after background: none;
.
One solution could be to move all background and list-style properties, not just those with images, to the separate CSS file.

jcarnett CreditAttribution: jcarnett commentedThis is the intended behavior of the 2.x branch -- redeclare all background/list-style properties in the data URI CSS, even if they don't reference images. If it's failing to do so correctly, this is a bug. I'll see if I can track it down.

I guess it is only a problem for Data URI Sprites Generator. Since there are plans to merge the projects, I will mark it as fixed rather than move it to the other issue queue.
Nice work!
