disable content-type feeds?

Perhaps I'm missing something, but is it possible to disable (exclude) comments for selected content types? My site is heavily permissions-based right down to individual cck field permissions per workflow state. We want comments to appear in a feed for the forum, but not for the majority of content types. Is this possible with Comment RSS?
