I'm not sure if this is a bug or just something that is not yet possible

I selected Video as the Node Reference and I was able to choose from a list of previously uploaded Videos

However, nothing displays after saving

Is this a bug against node reference or filefield.module. I would strongly discourage you from using filefield unless you are a developer yourself.
