I see that this module's alpha2 has a build date of Sept 30, whereas pay module's bundled alpha4 donate submodule has a build date in early September... Quite confusing. Which one is the development path going forward?

I'm assuming the confusing bit here is the fact that while Pay is at alpha5 now, this project is only at alpha2. Is that correct?

The reason for this is that when this project was spun off of Pay proper, it more-or-less started over as a new project. Because of this we started over with it's version numbers. While Donate is only at alpha2, it's newer code and should be used rather than the deprecated pay_donate from older releases of Pay. Donate won't always need new releases when a new release of Pay is produced and vice-versa.

I hope this helps clear things up a bit!
