I can't put a timeline to it but there will definitely be a Drupal 7 version of this module. I like to let the dust settle a bit so I can notice annoyances in usage patterns so I know what to do in this module. Most likely it'll be a direct port at first but I really want to make it work with menus.

+1 for D7 port, but more importantly ->
+1 for menu management tool - IMHO this very much needed

Features..hm, maybe for D7, to be able to view (edit?) node in modal window, w/o opening new browser tab / page?

I'm using this module for just 10 minutes and I like it very much! :)

edit/view used to work in a modal and it really slugged in terms of performance because a lot of users that want this quick outline functionality also used a wysiwyg editor so it would have to dynamically replace it every time a new modal was opened (big js waste). Not supporting wysiwyg generated issues asking for it (lose-lose). So it was dropped for the new tab.

Hm, yes, performance counts, I understand.
What about just view? Aha, then you have problem if user click on "Edit" button, heh, tricky. :)

AFAIK editing of nodes run in modal window in D7, right? So maybe just in D7 version?

Maybe if it was something you could toggle on or off. Def. a D7 only thing since that modal stuff is core. I'm hoping that making calls to modal items is easy in D7. I've made a 2 hour port of D6 to D7 a few months ago but the API was incomplete at the time so I'll end up redoing it.

Just discovered here exactly a great mod that I'll be needing on a new D7 project.
Hopefully a D7 port will come soon...

Starting to setup a D7 site now so I'll be playing around with it more in the coming months. As usual, too many projects to work on at the moment but it's in the pipeline :)

I haven't had time to work on a D7 port yet. got 3 distributions in the pipeline all with higher priority then OD upgrade at the moment. I believe I know someone that's planning to port it to D7 but he's delayed til mid-summer. Help with this would be much appreciated.
