Event clone or copy to another calendar

I have one global calendar with events and second calendar filtered to user. It would be nice, that users could copy desired events from global calendar to their personal calendar.

I solved this with node clone module - user can clone event from global calendar and his own calendar is filtered only to this users created content. It works almost fine, but isn´t it here any better solution?
