Will GR be able to redirect a certain 'node type' to its author's page?

I want to know if Global Redirect is capable of this task. Allow me to explain:

I have created a content type called "Author Information". When a user views this node's page, I want it to be redirected to the author's profile immediately.

So, is this possible with Global Redirect?
