Just a query ... Why use H2 in, say, the breadcrumb you are here region in page.tpl.php?
My thinking is that H2 is best saved for SEO use.

Jeff Burnz CreditAttribution: Jeff Burnz commentedHeading navigation + structure is the short answer - a way for disabled users to navigate between important page elements, and provide the correct outline/semantic structure.
I don't think this would affect SEO in any way (as in "what is this page about", i.e. keyword relevancy) because its on every page - clearly this navigational boilerplate.

MLZRHi Jeff,
May I interrupt you from your buzzy work..
As smilne23 I found this H2 tag still today in the theme. A SEO advisor of a client pointed me on this H2 tag and give the advice to change it. Maybe to a span or something else. Or if it has to be a H tag, then a much lower one.
How can I change this? There are much more question about this tag on internet, bud not a solution I can use.
Can you help me with this?
I am using AT Commerce 7.x-3.0
Thanks,

Jeff Burnz CreditAttribution: Jeff Burnz commentedYou have to override
adaptivetheme_breadcrumb()
, the h2 is set in there, you can change it by copying that function to your theme, change the name and alter the html element. Use a heading level, that will at least make it accessible, using a span is bad idea. I don't buy what most of these SEO people are selling, Google tell us over and over that good accessibility is good SEO, I'll be sticking with what Google say.Comment #5
MLZRThanks Jeff for your support.
i agree with you accessibility is an important thing, for "google standards" and for the accessibility itself.
So I am stuck in the middle :-) between the SEO people and the techies.
I chose to make it a less important header. H4? Then everybody is happy.
I will see what I can do with “adaptivetheme_breadcrumb()”. I am not a programmer, bud can do some tweaking’s. I will read about this, and find it out.
But if you know a source where it is already pointed out; I am glad to hear about it.
Thank you,
Marchello
