If jquery update is enabled and you try to attach a file attachment you get an error "An HTTP error 0 occurred.
/upload/js" when clicking the "Attach" button.
Disabling the jquery update module (and changing nothing else) removes the error.

Solved.
Replaced the jquery.js (version 1.2.6) in /misc with a newer version (1.4.4). The problem in the 'add attachment' went away.
