Dropdown Select Form Elements Not Properly Rendered

The select form elements in my exposed views filter is being improperly rendered on the iphone (see attached screenshots).

I have a view with two exposed filters and unfortunately, they do not render properly on the iphone. The filters work properly i.e. the user can activate them and select the appropriate options using the native iphone controls but the form elements look really squished up.

The view does render properly on the desktop using the Garland theme (also see attached screenshot).
