Announcement modal

The Announcement modal module provides an appealing modal window on top of your page. Use this section to add any website updates, official or crisis information that needs to be conveyed to the users.

Some of the features include:-

1. Banner content - Add a banner heading and description text.
2. Auto-expiry – Select a start and end date for the announcement that will disappear automatically once it reaches the end date.
3. Mobile responsive – The banner size gets resized automatically to fit any device.
4. Background Image – Select an image of your choice for the background image of the modal window.
5. Background styling - Select the background color or text color from the list for better visibility.
6. Sticky Widget – Recurring visitors will see a Sticky widget at the corner of the page. The modal window opens up on click of the widget.
7. Custom permission for allowing the trusted user to modify the configurations.
8. Exit – The modal window can be closed by the user at any time.

CONFIGURATION

• After enabling the module please go to People » Permission
  select the "Administer announcement modal" permission for the trusted role.
• After that go to Administration » Configuration » System » Announcement modal Configuration. Add the necessary settings here.
• After setting all the configurations you can go to Administration » Structure » Block Layout. Place the block in a content region where your site’s main content exists.
• Once all is done, Clear all cache and visit the site. Now you will be able to see the announcement modal.
