Useful for:

  • Random user profile images for social sites.
  • Random background textures for slideshows.

Directions:

  1. Download module and install
  2. Upload all your eligible random image to a sub-directory of your files directory such as /files/random. Alternatively set the random path and the field upload path to the same directory. Any file you upload to the field will now be seen and randomly inserted in other nodes.
  3. Create an image field.
  4. In the field settings under the "Random Default Image Settings" select "Randomize the Image".
  5. Set the random image path. Make sure this is different from your upload path if you do not want your manually uploaded files to be included in future random selections
  6. Important! Make sure the allowed file types matches the types of your random images
