Drupal's menu system requires absolute path to files located locally within a Drupal site. For example: http://example.edu/sites/default/files/example.pdf. This can cause issues with moving sites between development and production environments.
This modules add a link to the IMCE file browser to the add/edit menu form so that users can link directly to the file saved with in the site. The relative path is prefix with which is converted to the appropriate path before being rendered. /sites/default/files/example.pdf
