This project defines a field type, allowing to integrate nodes with the "Directory based organisational layer". You may add access control to nodes with the module "Directory based access control (ACL)".
Features
- Users may add nodes to directories (a unique field will be attached to the content type)
- Image files (jpegs) are displayed in the filed zone, when viewing.
- An optional block shows associated nodes.
- If field is empty, directory features are disabled, except for permissions!
Planned features
- Moving and deleting nodes per drag and drop (Ajax)
Installation
* Install the module "Directory based organisational layer" (see it's installation instructions).
* Install the "Directory based field" module (odir_field).
* Enable the module "Field to directory"
Optionally enable the module "Field to directory (block)".
* Go to admin/structure/types and create an odir field
* Create a field of type "Directory" and
associate it to one or more content types.
(NOTE: In theory you may add as many directory fields as you want,
but the module is only tested with one filed)
* Optionally enable the block "Directory Field (block)"
* Enable the new blocks. Blocks from the odir module are dublicated.
You may experiment in how to use the blocks from the main module
or the field-specific module.
* Open and safe the display section of a content type, for
correctly enabling the display.
* Create and edit content and put directory paths
into the new field.
NOTE
- The module is designed to work with unlimited directory-fields, but actually it is only tested with one field. I would be glad getting any feedback if you tested it with more than one field.
