Introduction

The Panopoly Distribution can serve as a base distribution for other distributions similar to how a base theme operates. The latest version of Open Atrium serves as an excellent example of this.

This starter kit will serve as a starting point for anyone with the desire to build their own distribution with Panopoly at its base. This project is not a distribution of its own. It's a "starter kit" for creating new distributions based on Panopoly.

Panopoly is powerful base distribution of Drupal powered by lots of Chaos Tools and Panels magic. The distribution is designed to be both a general foundation for site building and a base framework upon which to build other Drupal distributions.

The starter kit has quite a few options when generating the distribution. Please see the README for more information.

Creating the Distribution

Download this project to the ~/.drush folder, clear drush caches, and run the drush command.

$ drush dl panopoly_base_distribution_starter_kit --destination=$HOME/.drush
$ drush cc drush
$ drush psk "My Distro Name"
