Social Networking Dream is a zen subtheme, so you will need to install Zen first to use it. The theme was motivated by social networks like MySpace, Facebook or Friendster, and also Drupal themes like The Morning After.

The theme can have 0,1,2 column layouts.

This is an XHTML strict theme tested in Firefox 3.0.10 and IE7.

* In the navbar both primary and secondary menus are used from Drupal's menu system. If you look at the screenshot, the primary menus are on the left, like "Home", while the secondary menus are on the right like "Register, Logout". If you only want to use the primary links , you will need to change in snd.css around line 349 for #primary the width to 100%

CONCEPT:

This theme is targeted primarily for developers and themers. The theme was developed to allow rapid creation of custom (sub)themes. It includes basic styles and features which I found to be useful on majority of projects over years: from less complicated blogs to more complex corporate sites. Compared to many existing Drupal theme frameworks it works right away, it is lightweight, there are no zillion of settings to obey. Actually, I believe the majority of theme setting should be hardcoded anyway not to allow final user to ruin the original design.

BROWSER COMPATIBILITY:

IE (6,7,8), WebKit (Safari, Chrome), Mozilla (FireFox, Camino, SeaMonkey), Opera (8,9,10). The theme also was created to support older mobile browsers and screen readers. NOTE: IE6 and 7 are note actively supported anymore, but should work fine.

Beep Edition is designed from the ground up as a mobile-first responsive theme. I created this out of the desire to make as light-weight a theme as I could, using all the tricks I know to make it a solid HTML5/CSS3 responsibly-responsive starting point. It does use SASS and Bourbon+Neat (minimal use of grids to be honest).

While very basic, it's a good starting point and lighter in code and 'stuff' than anything else I've tried.

I'm looking forward to collaborating with others on this - I'd like to develop this further with everyone's contributions. I don't want it to be an all-consuming everything theme - but I do want it to continue to serve as a solid starting point (and one that I use for rapid prototyping and 'living wireframing' with clients) for projects that can go pretty much anywhere.
