The current Feature Modules in OpenAid will eventually become their own standalone projects, known as Atom modules. These Atom modules will be their own standalone modules. This will people to use certain features of OpenAid that they like, without needing to use the entire distro. It also means these modules can be developed and improved upon independent of OpenAid as well as be of potential use to other distros.
At the moment, these are all Sandbox Projects and you can help by testing them out and providing feedback in the form of an issue, or by improving the code.
When a Hero comes along, with the strength to carry on.
Enabling the Hero feature adds a block to your homepage where you can add a statement or paragraph to highlight your organization. It is a free text area with a button linking to another page or site.
To enable the feature, check the box next to OpenAid Hero feature. Then scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Save settings.
OpenAid 1.0 uses the custom module OpenAid Blog to power the Blog functionality. When enabling the OpenAid Blog module, the OpenAid Countries, OpenAid Images, and OpenAid Tags/Topics modules are also enabled, providing three content types (Author Profile, Blog Post, and Image) and a Blog landing page.
