As many working artists do, Rusty Segars called New York City home for many years. But in 2014, he moved back to North Carolina's Outer Banks and bought a home in Nags Head.

"I loved it in New York City," he says. "I'm such a big fan of design and I'm always trying to improve my own work, so networking and comparing notes with other designers in the city was one of the main reasons I loved living there. But it felt like a good time to leave. Seven years was a decent stretch.”

Rusty has created and worked on projects for clients such as Ralph Lauren, Rugby by Ralph Lauren, American Eagle, DSW, Princeton University, Cadillac, Levi's, Rem Koolhaas, and several other great brands from the fashion and entertainment industries over the years. He's maintained a busy freelance calendar for over 14 years while also more recently working full-time as a designer at Ralph Lauren for over two years, followed by two years as Senior Web Designer at Hollywood.com/Spill.com/Movietickets.com. He brings all that experience to Bluespark as the Creative Director and UI Designer.
