Aaron co-founded CivicActions in 2004. In his role as Chief Experience Officer (CXO), he is responsible for organizational leadership, company culture, and strategic growth.

In 2016, Aaron served at the United States Digital Service (USDS) helping improve the way the federal government procures digital services through culture change and policy reform.

After leaving USDS, Aaron helped establish the first small-business DITAP training program which has trained and certified nearly 300 Federal contracting officers on digital service procurement.

Aaron is a co-founder of the Digital Services Coalition, former Executive Director of the Agile Government Leaders Association, and former Board Member of Technologists for Public Good.

He brings more than 20 years of experience in open systems, distributed work and government technology to managing the firm.

Aaron lives in Bend, Oregon with his wife Nikki and their two daughters. In addition to his family, Aaron is passionate about photography, snowboarding, electronic music, and building community.
