David Metzler has been an application developer for over 30 years, having spent the last 10 years developing applications using the Drupal CMS framework. He a strong believer in and proponent of open source and agile software development methodologies, and has donated countless hours to supporting Drupal installations throughout the world. He is also the maintainer of project Forena, an open source report writing solution written using the Drupal framework.

Dave is currently employed as the Lead Developer/Architect for the Washington Public Disclosure Commission in Olympia, WA, and is a co-organizer of the Olympia Drupal Users Group. He is also a licensed lay preacher in the Episcopal Church and often preaches on the moral imperative of adopting open source software.
