If you want to help maintain or develop the drupal.org family of web sites, it is helpful to understand what the purpose of each subsite or site section is, and who maintains and develops that site.

Who are the maintainers and developers?

The overall responsibility for the infrastructure (web servers, database servers, etc.) that hosts the drupal.org family of web sites, and the software (Drupal core, add-on modules, and other software) that runs on those servers, lies with a dedicated infrastructure team employed by the Drupal Association. Members of the Drupal community can contribute their time to improve the software for the site family. You can read about plans for the infrastructure and software on the Drupal.org roadmap page.

Some of the content on the drupal.org family of web sites is owned and maintained by Drupal Association staff, with occasional help by volunteers in the Drupal community. Other content is owned and maintained by the Drupal community. The sections below will help you understand which content is which.

See also the Get help with drupal.org page, which explains where to report content and other issues with drupal.org web sites.
