For those of you who may not follow Planet Drupal, Dries has posted a nice blog post that provides great graphics illustrating Drupal.org's growth in 2006. The upcoming release of 5.0 and consistent exposure on sites like Digg.com will surely help us continue the upward trend into 2007.

Very nice - I especially
Very nice - I especially like the chart providing the comparison of developing vs. support vs. CVS users, etc. How extensive are statistics for Drupal.org - are any tools applied (such as Google Analytics) in addition to the core statistics module?

Graphing User Growth Rates
Glad to see Drupal on the rise...
It would be awesome to add a graphing app to Drupal. Maybe JpGraph? This could easily be added as a standalone module or maybe an add-on to the statistics module.
Simply graphing the growth rate of user accounts would be great. Although, I'm not exactly sure how to group the user created data (unix time).
By chance, is there already a project in the works for this?
