When saving field settings for a date field I get a white screen and the message above is logged. D7.0 and Date 7.x-1.x-dev as of 7/1/11

This might have been caused by the issue described here http://drupal.org/node/1014118 I had updated Date a number of times with the d7 update modules feature and I found i had four copies of the date module installed recursively. i deleted them all and manually installed the latest date dev version and the issue has gone away.
