Can someone release an updated version please? I want to try with an existing site, so cannot use the media_dev profile.

For me using the D7 v1.0 release with installing the latest dev version from cvs it´s fixed:
http://drupal.org/project/media_gallery/cvs-instructions

Tested it with images and youtube videos and it works great!!!

Don't you get Notice: Undefined index: custom settings in field_view_mode_settings() (line 631 of /var/www/example.com/drupal-7.0/modules/field/field.module). when enabling media_gallery from cvs?

I get this when using a clean 7.0 and cvs modules, I even tried your zip file from another issue. Same thing. I always have to apply the patch from http://drupal.org/node/972376#comment-3832628 and I also need to apply a patch for media_internet.

I would very much like a updated snapshot/build/release as well.

I tried using the CVS modules for media & media gallery & it doesn't appear to be working in a useful way yet.

I get no errors but a lot have problems with the zipped-version I offered.
The only thing I can image is that I have a module enabled that does something good.

I really don´t know yet, but I´ll try it on a clean 7.0 and then we will find out what´s going on. Please be patient for 1-2 days.

I've been uninstalling & reinstalling clean drupal 7 instances for the last 4 months and only once did the gallery even kinda work. That was way back about 3 months ago.
I don't know how people are getting it to work. Its just frustrating that this module is exactly what i need. My big impetus to upgrade to D7 is this module replacing 5 other modules i have to use for D6 to do the same job.

I was hoping that the long promised 'improved media support' in D7 would mean that these modules would be working soon after D7 came out of testing.

I think media gallery (head) is currently outdated (still need to manually patch it for the undefined index notice) compared with the styles and media modules.

I can install the various media modules without errors, and create a gallery just fine, but any media I add to my gallery do not display as they should. The thumbnail picture is simply a placeholder for "images" if I add an image, and a placeholder for "video" if I add a youtube clip.

Clicking on them opens a rather empty colorbox pop-up window, and the uploaded jpg file is actually stored in sites/default/files. So the files are there, they are just not being displayed at all.
