I just noticed that an event that I set to be from 10:45 to noon is shown as 11:45 to 1:00 on dates after the Daylight Saving Time change. View here:

By the way, the event module is set to display times using the event's time zone, in this case US/Eastern.

I cannot duplicate this. I tried having the event timezone set to the site timezone, and the site timezone set to both GMT, and US/PT, and in either case, the event time does not change across the DST break.

I tried this on the most recent 4.7.5-2.

Can you try it on the most recent 4.7.5-2 branch, and if you can reproduce it, can you tell me the following:

1) event configuration for saving and display of timezone
2) site timezone setting
3) user timezone setting.

Thanks,

Francis

Darren, how are you managing your dst settings? Did you adjusted the site-wide timezone when dst rolled around?

I thought I made it clear in comment #1 that I configured the site to display times using the event's time zone, not the site time zone or the user time zone.

Darren,

You did make it clear. However there have been recent fixes in this area which might effect timezone processing, so I would like to see if you can reproduce the problem with the current code. I have tried and I cannot reproduce it. If you can give me any other information that would help me to reproduce this, I would be happy to try it.

Did a CVS checkout of the DRUPAL-4-7--2 branch. The problem definitely still occurs. I deleted the repeating event and recreated it. See the results on my site. The affected events are prayer meeting and worship.

Thanks Darren, the version I tried had a couple of patches beyond what is in 4-7--2, however, I don't think these would have made a difference in timezone support.

I will try duplicating this with exactly the same version 4-7--2 (as of yesterday).

Can you tell me the version of the Event module? I want to make sure I use the same one.

You have stated that the event is displayed with the event's time zone (according to the event timezone display settings). As far as I can tell, you have not provided the following, which I need:

1) What is the setting of the Event Timezone Input in event settings?
2) What is the actual timezone of your site?
3) What is the timezone of the user accessing the site? (I'm not sure how timezones are set for anonymous users).

Once I get this information I will try to duplicate this in the next few days.

These are the settings:

  1. Event Timezone Input: "Allow users to set event time zones"
  2. Site time zone: -0500
  3. User time zone: -0500

The default event time zone is US/Eastern.

4.7 Branch is being moved to unsupported. If this is still an issue with 5.x-1.x or 5.x-2.x please reopen.

Thanks
