I'm surprised this hasn't been requested already...

I, like a lot of other people I'm guessing, am currently using the Location module to add an address to my nodes. I also have an OpenLayers CCK field that I use to add a marker onto a map for each node. I'd like to merge these two fields together to save having to enter what is essentially the same information twice.

However, when I enabled the OpenLayers Geocoder widget, I found I couldn't map the address to my existing Location fields. It seems silly to have to go and replace the Location fields with new CCK text fields, especially since I already have a few views setup that use the Location field data that'll now need updating.

Is it possible to add support for the Location module to OpenLayers Geocoder?

+1 although I'm looking toward addresses.module now, there are plenty of my sites that still use location.module.

Since location and addresses wrap several fields together in the same way, perhaps they can be supported using a similar method? Here's my request for addresses.module: #910308: Addresses CCK field support
