User complaints:

1. On the create album page, the parent option still defaults to the acidfree albums folder/album. Recommend this points tongue folder by default or create a dropdown list in the admin menu that the admin can use to select the default parent album for newly created albums. This is especially helpful if the form is modified to hide this dropdown from the users view.

2. The create image page where it allows one to select an album to upload into. Recommend this is a scrollable drop down list as this will get quite large or with more work a dynamic dependent drop down list with sub lists.

Answers:

Being able to specify a default root album is a great idea; and we should also convert the album selector back into a drop-down. On sites with a lot of albums, this list could be huge. (Alternately, figure out how many albums will be displayed and then either display them as a list or as a drop down, depending.)

This should be folded into improving the default selection of parent nodes when creating albums, images and videos.

Changing this to a feature request.

If you have "update" access to an album, displaying the album should also display embedded links for adding new items to that album. (Similar to existing "quick links" block.)
