Security bugfixes only for D5: Dropping support for non-critical issues

Now that we're working on D7 and have two major versions of D6 we decided to announce:

General Support and regular issues will be "won't fix" for all Simplenews 5.x.
This means, we'll only accept further patches and answer only to security team requests.

If someone wants to take over maintainership of Simplenews 5.x (under the condition that NO new feature will be integrated), please contact me.
