function template_preprocess_date_navigation() has several unused code:

    $next_args = $view->args;
...
    $next_path = str_replace($view->date_info->date_arg, $next_arg, $view->date_info->url);
    $prev_path = str_replace($view->date_info->date_arg, $prev_arg, $view->date_info->url);
    $next_args[$pos] = $next_arg;
    $prev_args[$pos] = $prev_arg;
...

The variables $next_args, $next_path, $prev_path, $prev_args are assigned but seem not to be used anymore in this function.

Unfortunately the Drupal 6 version of the Date module is no longer supported. That said, we appreciate that you took time to work on this issue. Should this request still be relevant for Drupal 7 please feel free to reopen it. Thank you.
