Now that the HEAD version is compatible with 5.x, it would be really helpful if a 5.x compatible branch/release were designated for Acidfree. That will allow it to be listed on the 5.x modules page so that new users can easily find it.

Just because it is compatible does not mean it really works. It does not throw errors, but it will delete your data, embarrass you in front of your friends and cause you to cry in front of your boss.

It is simply not ready.

Ah fair enough :P I've noticed a few other modules where HEAD is perfectly fine on 5.x but if Acidfree's not ready yet no problem.

There is a DRUPAL-5 branch of Acidfree now. There are no stable releases yet, but please test the development snapshot and file bugs.

When there are a sufficient number of bugs filed and worked out, I will create a real release.

I just tested 5.x and it works great! Thanks! I did not encounter any problem on a fresh install.
